Thinking, Fast and Slow

The framework of two systems is now common vocabulary, which makes the book read as foundational rather than novel. The specific biases are interesting. The underlying point is more durable. Most of the day is spent acting from System 1 and rationalizing it as System 2 work. The book is at its best sitting patiently with how often the fast mind has already decided before the slow one shows up.
